Just Like Home. One of the best things about the Kaiholo Hale is that you don't feel like you are staying in a strange place. You feel right at home for the entire stay. There is dedicated parking directly in front of the rooms. Every room comes with all of the comforts of home. It is less than 2 minutes from both the beach and Mama's Fish House. It is just outside the small town of Paia, in my opinion the best town on Maui. And it is right at the beginning of the road to Hana, and only 15 minutes from the airport! Seriously, the location and amenities cannot be beat. You never see the staff who run the place if everything goes right, but they are easily reachable if needed. This is my fourth trip to Maui and I book here every time. Robin H

Perfect place to stay on the North Shore! The place was comfortable, clean, and quiet. It was a great place to come back to each day. It had everything you need: beach towels, chairs, umbrellas, laundry, a BBQ... The location was great. The nearby Kuau store is a great place for breakfast and it is a quick walk to the beach. Great spot in Paia! We stayed in the beautiful Gardenia Suite. This little condo was perfect for our first time in Maui! Very clean and spacious. The backyard is very well-maintained and filled with cute little geckos! On the coffee table there are informational books about the unit, as well as Maui that are filled with beautiful photos and best spots to shop, eat, and explore. The unit is fully furnished and there was a wonderful welcome basket of coffee and granola bars on the counter. There were boogie boards along the side of the house that we were able to use during our stay. The only con I have is that the bed gets a bit uncomfortable after a while, but then again we stayed for 10 days :) The staff was very helpful and genuinely nice every time I spoke to them. I would highly recommend Kaiholo Hale!

Gem close to Paia beaches and town. Lovely spacious and comfortable condo on a quiet residential street. Quick 5 minute drive to town, shops, and beaches. Upcountry easily accessed for crater, winery, galleries in Makawao and Kula. Great place to stay after exploring the Hana Highway, unwinding, and enjoying the restaurants and shops of Paia. Easy beach access for swimming, surfing, walking, and turtle viewing. One bedroom condo with all of the conveniences and comforts of home. You can cook for yourself or enjoy the local restaurants. Convenient after exploring the Hana Highway or the upcountry area and Haleakala National Park. All kinds of beaches, restaurants and galleries nearby. Jan - Calgary, Canada

What a bonus. This was our 10th visit to Maui as we have family on the Island, so we have stayed in quite a few lovely places in different parts of the Island. Kaiholo Hale was perfect for us a one bed roomed apartment with all the facilities that we needed a short walk to Mama Fish House restaurant and to the beach, where we watched the turtle Bob up and down. Just a lovely apartment and brilliant situation. Will definitely book this one again The apartment was clean, convenient, easy to find it had all the facilities needed and when we had a problem with the en-suite loo it was sorted out. Home Away From Home. The Kaiholo Hale had an amazing price and location. It is in the perfect range for checking out any and every part of Maui and keeps you away from the super tourist oriented locations. I stayed in the Plumeria suite and it was really comfortable; returning there was like returning to a home after a long day of sight seeing so my vacation was so much more relaxed than it would have been otherwise. Dedicated parking means you never worry about finding a spot and you can stay out of huge parking structures and long hallways meaning way less distance to bring your luggage. The next time I come to Maui I will definitely be staying here.

Conveniently located near the quirky town of Paia, this was our first stay on the East side of Maui. Our two bedroom suite was very comfortable, clean, air-conditioned, nicely furnished, and had a large kitchenette. Being near Paia made it easier to drive to the special places we wanted to visit on that side of the Island. Easy walk down path to beach was great for the kids. We do plan to return. Anton Jacobson, Sweden

"What a nice end to our adventurous week in Maui! I was surprised to find a fully stocked home- not only everything you could need in the kitchen- but shampoo and conditioner, brand new sponge, washer, dryer, plus laundry soap, coffee, it was all there. Very very pleasant. Loved it. Great location too- Paia is a great little town, and the house is a 2 minute walk to a pretty beach spot." Sonata, San Diego

"This was a great place to relax after running all over the island all day. The rate was easily comperable to hotels in town but gave you a lot more for the money. It was also nice to come back to dedicated parking and be able to bring in some groceries and grill a steak and relax for dinner rather than eating out all the time. The manager (Anne) was very friendly and accomedating, letting us check in early with our early morning flight to the island." Ron, Oahu, Hawaii

"Loved staying at this hotel. It's actually a house that was renovated into suites. We stayed in the Plumeria Suite. Very clear, comfortable, nice, easy to access, and friendly. Great place to stay for our time on Maui. Anne was a wonderful host - provided prompt responses and information from the local perspective. We would absolutely stay there again. Best place we stayed in during our time in Hawaii." Nicole, Washington DC

"This was a great location away from the highly populated tourist areas, with a good beach only 10 minutes away. All locations of interest are only 30 to 40 minutes away. We loved the area. The house was very well equipped with everything we needed. We rented all 4 suites with 4 separate families, it was perfect for us! Paia is a great little town. We loved it and we will be back again. This was our third place to stay in Maui and clearly our favorite." Andrew A., Hilton, NY

"Thank you for a lovely stay! We loved the double shower in the en-suite bathroom. You have covered all conveniences for sure and our stay was very comfortable. Loved being close to my yoga centre in Haiku, will come again! PS. Thanks Anne for stopping by to allow for late check-out, super! Thanks, Lee-Ann & Joe, Calgary, Canada

"Nous avons passe une super semaine sur l'ile de Maui. L'appartment Orchid etait parfait, rien a dire. Tout le confort comme a la maison. Paia est une petite ville super sympa, tous les restaurants sont top, on s'est regales! Les conditions de surf et de planche ne sont surtout pas un mythe, vent et vagues tous les jours a souhait. Bref en resume, 10 jours de vacances paradisiaques pour les Francais! Merci encore pour l'accueil!" Emilie et Arnaud G, Les Sables D'Olonne, France

"Mahalo for this accommodation. Can't think of anything we need that was not provided here. We always enjoy the Paia Fish Market, the Ono burger in particular and were not disapointed. We also liked the Flatbread restaurant and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good thin crust pizza. Stopwatch Bar and Grill in Makawao was a fun local stop, great burgers. Beyond the obvious beach visits, we loved the Ali'i Lavender Farm and the Maui Ocean Center. Oh yes, Komoda Store and Bakery in Makawao has great baked goods, don't miss the mac nut cookies!" " We have had a fabulous week staying here! Maui is gorgeous and the diving was fabulous! We saw three hammerhead sharks while diving off Molokai. Paia is adorable with all the cute shops and amazing eateries! We have been so grateful that we stayed here, away from the tourism side. All of the little extras like washer/druyer, laundry soap... have really made our stay over the top! Thanks so much for everything! We will definitely recommend Kaiholo Hale to everyone we know!" " We rented the entire property for our family: mom & dad, 3 sons with 2 spouses, 5 grand children and 2 family friends, 14 total. We tended to congregate, eat... in the Orchid Suite. We love the place and feel we have created a life long memory for our family. We could not have found a better place to stay: location, accommodation, Anne & David very helpful. We had a little rain but wait 10 minutes, it will stop. It also made the "Road to Hana" even more beautiful. Thanks for a wonderful stay." Marilyn and Paul E. Buffalo, New York

"My husband, 2-year-old son, and I stayed here on our vacation. The home was so comfortable that we felt as if we were in our own home. The most wonderful part of Kaiholo Hale was the neighborhood safety. We were able to keep the windows open even at night and were able to feel the cool Hawaiian breeze as we slept. I loved that we were able to walk to Mama's Fish House and the little town (which was about a five minute drive) of Paia was so unique and had wonderful restaurants and boutiques. We are planning another trip to Maui, and we will be staying at Kaiholo Hale. I recommend Kaiholo Hale highly." Kristin

"Our family came here to celebrate our parents 40th wedding anniversary. We rented the entire house and it was fabulous. The town of Paia is really quaint and we enjoyed the more local side of the island. We did venture to the west side for great surf, beaches, snorkeling and kayaking. A real perk was kayaking with spinner dolphins and snorkeling with sea turles! It was a wonderful 9 days in this house. We ate many meals outside enjoying the wonderful Maui mornings and nights, can't wait to be back!" James and Jill S, Calgary, Canada

"This was a perfect spot for our family. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary and brought our 3 adult children and their spouses/fiance along. Each "couple" had some privacy but we opened the areas up and shared several meals. Loved the North Shore!! We enjoy many fun mornings and afternoons at Baldwin Beach which was just a short trip from Kaiholo Hale. We loved that we were in a home and not a hotel. We went to the store and ate most breakfast, lunch and several dinner meals from home. We did splurge and had an awesome dinner at Mama's Fish House which was just a short walk. Paia was a darling town and we ate a couple meals at Charley's and a couple at Flatbread. There were so many extra touches that made us feel at home -- shampoo, conditioner, shower gel in each bathroom; small coolers for our day trips; beach chairs and body boards; a huge family-size grill. All of these made our stay wonderful. Have already told many about this wonderful place. The only regret we have is that we didn't keep a portion of this home when all the kids left. My husband and I moved to the "south" part of the island and it was not as pleasant. Too much noise and hustle. Our next Maui trip will definitely be back on the North Shore." Debbie B., Franklin, IN
March 2008
"The Kaiholo Hale was perfect for our family reunion of 13 people. The separate suites were much larger than we had expected and were well suited for our needs. It was great having laundry facilities and several bathrooms. It was a nice quiet area with a nice small beach close by. We had excellent customer service when we had problems with one of the bar-b-ques and were assured that if any problems arose, to call right away and it would be attended to. I highly recommend this unit for either individual suite rental or renting the whole house for family get togethers." Audrey D.
January 2008
"We recently stayed in this lovely home that easily accommodated our large group and which also made the stay very cost-effective. The house is very clean and well-kept and fairly new. More importantly now, it is hotel-zoned even though there are no hotels -just a very quiet laid back community near Mama's Fish House and right near the beach. Maui is undergoing some change with their vacation rental situation and many places are not considered legal because they are not hotel-zoned.
Paia is a great town with super restaurants and a very mellow feel. We'll be back to Kaiholo Hale- as a couple (we can stay in one of the apartments) or as a group again." Ft. Lauderdale, Florida
